Attendance

Good attendance and prompt punctuality are paramount to a chance of success and The Parks Academy seeks to ensure that all its pupils receive a full-time education which maximises opportunities for each pupil to realise their true potential.  Our school will strive to provide a welcoming, caring environment, whereby each member of the school community feels wanted and secure. All school staff will work with pupils and their families to ensure each pupil attends school regularly and punctually. Rewards and incentives will be in place for individuals and classes who have the highest attendance record over the week.

We do recognise that child can become ill. If your child is going to be absent, please ensure that you contact the school on 01482 761321, via email or via Class Dojo before 9.30am to let us know.  Failure to contact the school will result in you being contacted by the Attendance Team. Where necessary, a home visit may also be required. In line with our safeguarding and attendance policy, we are required to see each child that is absent on at least day three of any absence and this will be in the form of a home visit (we may decide to undertake a home visit more frequently than this too).

Lessons start promptly at 9.00am and if your child arrives at school after 9.00am (without prior arrangements having been agreed) they will be marked late.  Arrival at school after 9.00am, or through the office will be marked as a late mark and could be recorded as an unauthorised absence.
